808 State shaped the sound of modern electronica. Formed in Manchester in 1988, they defined the UK acid house scene with landmark albums like Newbuild and Ninety (NME 10/10), plus Pacific State, an iconic end-of-night anthem at the Haçienda.

Across three decades, they’ve crafted genre-defining records that draw from Manchester’s industrial past and Detroit techno while pushing toward sonic futures. Led by founding member Graham Massey, 808 State continues to inspire audiences worldwide.

This rare North East performance is a chance to experience the architects of club music past and future.
