Salt Market Social is set within a spacious, converted factory unit on the increasingly popular North Shields Fish Quay — a location known for its energy, character and sense of occasion.
Since opening in August 2020, the venue has hosted countless celebrations, from live music events and parties to its much-loved Salt Market Social street food gatherings. Bringing people together has always been at the heart of what we do, and that experience now shapes the way we host weddings.

Upstairs, the main Salt Market Social space offers an open-plan setting that works beautifully for larger celebrations.
With room for 80–400 guests, it’s ideal for dining, speeches, live music and dancing, all within one flexible space. The layout keeps guests connected throughout the day, while food can be tailored to suit your plans, with bespoke catering options from a vendor of your choice.
Downstairs, The Loading Bay offers a more intimate setting for smaller weddings.
With its own well-stocked bar, DJ van, stage and dance floor, the space can host a complete celebration in one room. Food can be served from the Airstream kitchen by MEDHead, creating a relaxed, social atmosphere where guests can eat, drink and celebrate together.
