Table Bookings

 

Tables will be available for walk in customers from the street but due to Covid-19 we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Each booking can be made for tables up to 6 people from different households or up to 8 people if from 2 different households. 
Table bookings are 90 minutes for up to 4 people and 120 minutes for 5 or more.
If you cancel your table with more than 24 hours notice of your booking there is no charge. 
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice of your booking will be charged at £15.00 per person. 

Your Safety

 

Salt Market Social is one of the most socially distant venues in the region, thanks to its massive 740 sqm. industrial space.
All food and drinks ordered are delivered to your table. Despite having an official capacity of 450 when fully open, the venue is currently set out to seat 200 people ensuring a safe space with plenty of room for people to enjoy the fully socially distanced environment.

What We’re Doing

– Ask you to scan a QR code with your smartphone for Track And Trace purposes. We will also be taking everyones temperature as a precaution.
– Staggering pre booked arrival times to reduce queuing.
– One way system from your entrance to exit.
– Providing hand sanitiser upon arrival and throughout the venue.
– Providing table service for all food and drinks via our ordering app.
– Clearly marked pathways to the toilets.
– Signage to remind people to stay 2m apart.
– Ensuring vendors and staff wear face coverings and follow the government’s safety guidelines at all times.

What You Can Do

– Book your table of up to 6 people from different households or up to 8 people if from 2 different households.
– Arrive healthy and without COVID-19 symptoms.
– Wait outside until your full party has arrived.
– Arrive on time so you’re ready to go.
– Wear a face covering at all times apart from when eating and drinking.
– Follow the one way system.
– Use hand sanitiser & wash your hands.
– Scan the QR Codes provided and register so we can Track and Trace if necessary.
– Practice social distancing.

ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY?

Yes! Dog friends are welcomed as long as they’re well behaved, water bowls are available.

DOES THE VENUE HAVE DISABLED ACCESS?

YES! There’s a passenger assisted lift on site and fully accessible facilities. 

WILL THERE BE MUSIC/DJ'S?

YES! Think laid-back, eclectic, good-time vibes featuring the best tunes around.

ARE KIDS WELCOME?
YES! We’re open through the day so the whole family can come along. If you require a clip on high chair please book them in advance via info@saltmarketsocial.co.uk We also have baby change facilities.
Can I bring a pram?
Please let us know in advance if you are planning to bring a pram so we can be sure there is enough room to accommodate you.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes! There is no parking at the venue itself, but Pay And Display parking is available on Bell Street, a 2 minute walk away.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking in advance is essential to guarantee your table, however walk-ins are always welcome and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Table bookings are 90 minutes for up to 4 people and 120 minutes for 5 or more.
Tables can be cancelled 24 hours in advance without any charge. Cancellations after that point will be charged at £15.00 per person.

Can I book for more than 6 people?
Yes! Bookings can be made for tables up to 6 people from different households or up to 8 people from 2 different households.
Due to government guidelines regarding social distancing we cannot facilitate the grouping of tables to accommodate parties
or the mixing of people from more than one table as this would be in contradiction of the legislation. You can make multiple bookings but please be aware that we won’t be able to group tables in similar locations.
How Long Is My Booking For?
Table bookings are 90 minutes for up to 4 people and 120 minutes for 5 or more people.
How do I order food & drinks?
Once seated by our servers please download the W8R app or scan the QR code on your table.
Browse the food and drinks menu, tap to order and all will be brought to your table.
Pay on the app via credit card or Apple pay.

If you are paying cash or not using a smart phone our servers will happily take your oder the traditional way, but using the app is the quickest way to order and receive your food and drinks.

If you qualify for our discount scheme, do not order through the W8R app. You must order with via server, we can not allocate discount once ordered through the app.

10% discount is available for NHS staff showing a valid photo i.d. card on arrival in name of the person who made the booking and for their plus 1. Please tell your server when you are seated.

10% discount for RNLI staff showing an official working rnli pager on arrival and for their plus 1. Please tell your server when you are seated.

Payments
To minimise contact between our staff and customers we strongly encourage you to use the W8R app, however we do accept cash as an alternative.
We accept all major credit cards and Apple pay. We do not accept American Express.
What happens if I am late for my reservation?
We may give your table away if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your booked time and charged the cancellation fee.
How do I cancel my booking?
If you wish to cancel or amend a booking then please do so via the email reservation confirmation you received from the info@saltmarketsocial.co.uk address and go into the edit booking or cancel options at bottom of email.
Tables cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of your booking with have no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of your booking will be charged at £15.00 per person.

Will There Be Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free options?
YES! Food stalls will have options for all dietary requirements, but keep an eye out for individual street food trader updates for more details.
We are a street food venue, there are times when the full menu will not be available and items are subject to change.
