Salt Market Social is a cool and quirky events space on the the first floor of a large warehouse in the heart of North Shields, bringing together the best of the region’s entertainment, food, craft beers and cocktails

New addition to the Salt Market:
The Salt Bar downstairs. Now open at weekends, with sounds from DJs and live music alternating weekly. It’s a cool laid back hang out, with Street food, sofas, easy chairs and good vibes – dogs welcome too !

ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY?

Yes! Dog friends are welcomed as long as they’re well behaved, water bowls are available.

DOES THE VENUE HAVE DISABLED ACCESS?

YES! There’s a passenger assisted lift on site and fully accessible facilities.Β 

WILL THERE BE MUSIC/DJ'S?

Yes we always have a mix of eclectic playlists with plenty of the old and the new.

Every Friday and Saturday nights we have a roster of the region’s best DJs providing that party Vibe.

We also do occasional live music events so check back here or sign up to our socials for more details

ARE KIDS WELCOME?
YES! We’re open through the day so the whole family can come along. If you require a clip on high chair please book them in advance via info@saltmarketsocial.co.uk We also have baby change facilities.
Can I bring a pram?
Please let us know in advance if you are planning to bring a pram so we can be sure there is enough room to accommodate you.

Yes! There is no parking at the venue itself, but Pay And Display parking is available on Bell Street, a 2 minute walk away.

How do I order food & drinks?
Simply order food from vendor of your choice

We offer 10% discount for both NHS and RNLI staff but only at the bar. This offer is not available via the app.

Payments
We accept all major credit cards and Apple pay. We do not accept American Express however we do accept cash as an alternative.
Will There Be Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free options?
YES! Food stalls will have options for all dietary requirements, but keep an eye out for individual street food trader updates for more details.
We are a street food venue, there are times when the full menu will not be available and items are subject to change.
